Hello
We hope you have been enjoying your summer!
We have been continuing to create some beautiful kitchens and bespoke worktops for our clients, and wanted to update you on our projects and plans.
In the last year people have been spending more time at home cooking, as such the demand for our bespoke concrete outdoor kitchens continues to grow.
We are currently in the throws of our third outdoor kitchen project. Two are half outdoors and are being built inside Pagodas (see above). The third outdoor kitchen project is fully outdoors with an integrated Big Green Egg BBQ, pizza oven, and outdoor sink. We are also creating a bespoke outdoor fire pit that doubles up as a drinks table for the seating area.
We take on just 4-5 kitchen projects per year, alongside our worktops projects. So each of our clients gets our full attention during the design journey which often starts with us creating a 'mood board' in our studio using samples to show our clients how the various materials will look together. We have an interesting variety of different styles of kitchens we are currently designing for our new clients and we are working alongside a new 3-D designer to provide our clients with improved visualisations during the journey.
Our worktops have been in demand this year, as well as our signature cast-in-situ concrete worktops, we have been hand-making copper and zinc worktops.
The zinc countertop we did for the new Rick Steins coffee shop in Padstow (above) has an integrated ice sink and is a real feature of their new space.
We have hand-made a number of copper worktops for our clients this year, some patinated and some natural (see below). We are really happy with the outcome and think they look great as a feature island.
Happiness from simple living. This summer Arnold will be enjoying his bespoke tiny kitchen (above) in his lovingly restored Horse Lorry. His bijou kitchen has vintage appliances and a handmade patinated zinc worktop, up-stand, and kick-plates.
We are taking annual leave and shutting up shop from the 23rd of July, but will be back with full kitchen action from Monday 9th of August. Arnold plans to make the most of where he lives and will be camping nearby with friends and family in his recently converted and lovingly renovated 1974 Commer Horse Lorry.
Enjoy the rest of the summer.
With love from, Arnold and the team at Arnolds Kitchens xxx
